BOUGHT.

I kid... hopefully they implement the cooling system on cheaper cards or don't include the radiator and fans with some models. Would be super easy to add them to an existing loop etc. I like the idea of having both liquid circulation and a single fan to disperse any remaining heat but DAMN those are beast. I can already max everything out, WITH eyefinity on the single core 7970 I already have ($300). Can't imagine actually needing anything more at the moment, but these clearly aren't for the conservative user anyway. Shittiest part... they'll be irrelevant in a year :/

Running two of these things also requires a super beefy PSU with 6 available PCI-e connectors

For even a mild gaming machine a base 7970 (or equivalent card) is overkill... these units are just retarded powerful.

Maybe I can convince my team at work that i need the extra horsepower for when i do my interior renderings and order a pair w the company card... they aren't workstation units (technically) but nobody will call me out on that shit... unless they see me unboxing

Your company wont call you out on a $3200 charge for video cards? Can you put a new mobo and i7 on that tab? lololol

The amount of money that has been spent in recent months on Thunderbolt displays, iPad's, Google TV's, server equipment and other hardware here is staggering. I know because we have to receive/sign for UPS almost every fucking day. On top of that renovations and recent expansion have already yeilded seven figures. This company loves to spend money, we got a order request earlier today for 6 terabytes worth of SSD's... no idea why.

if I told my boss I was ordering some beast graphics cards he'd probably tell me to get a pair for everyone lol
