View Full Version : Jaguar F-Type

I went to the Canadian International Autoshow in Toronto over the weekend. I saw a lot of cool new cars -- the new Viper, a Ferrari F40, and a bunch of other exotics -- and some more entry-level stuff as well.

I sat in the Subaru BR-Z, which has an amazing interior and driving position. It made me totally rethink how "serious" the car is. Despite it being underpowered, I think it could be a really fun car.

The car that may have made the biggest impression on me is the new Jaguar F-Type. It's absolutely stunning in person. Don't rely on the prices shown here as an indication of U.S. pricing; the Canadian market is weird.

Here's a bonus shot of the new Corvette:

looks more like the maserati granturismo imo...

Sexy car. I can see the likeness to the Maser.

Maserati is a pretty good comparison. I see quite a few of those around though, and I definitely like this more. The Jag has larger, rounder curves.

damn the coupe is goddam sexy as hell...

that color i see a bit of GTR in the front end

^^^ I thought the same thing, although the mouth is not as tall/large. Looks pretty good. Now lets see how big of a POS it is if/when they get people to buy it. My fiance's father had a supercharged jaguar. The engine hydro-locked when he drove through a puddle...

lol that sucks... how deep was said 'puddle?' really depends where the airbox is. i see ppl sink their shit all the time, especially in springtime.

this car looks good, lots of visual elements from all sorts of exotics all in one smooth-looking ride. coupe has the aston martin look and i like the aggressive-but-subtle look up front... something i think jag has always done well.

I put an album together of the other pics I took at the show: http://imgur.com/a/nZGbb

The bored looking blonde guy is my brother haha.

It was just a generic puddle. They positioned the airbox below the passenger side headlight so any water that splashing into the grille goes right into it.

Great looking cars, right up until get to that retarded gold mercedes suv. Even your brother looks better than that POS. ;D

This show was the first time I'd seen an F40 in person. It's been my favourite car for as long as I can remember. I literally got goosebumps when I saw it.

Nice pics. The jaguar is hot, first one I've ever liked, hopefully it's not a piece of junk like the ones before it. The f40 is just pure awe. 25 years old and it still steals the show. I love how the front reaches all the way down to the ground. It sucks that they don't allow them to design cars like that anymore. Now they all look like they got the front end cut off like you would cut the end off a baguette. Too bad.

had an F40 bed when i was little haha... pretty boss. my dad built it for me and when it was done it didn't fit through the front door. MAD GOOBERISH

as far as a real one goes... driving one is a MUST on my bucket list. i only have one possible connection to a collector/enthusiast but i don't really know him too well. i'll work on that.
