If they give us the hatch version I'm in for $40k. Otherwise I'd take the CLA45 AMG over this.

i like it dunno about those purple lights around the dash area, but otherwise decent.

just fyi, apparently audi/vw can now detect modded cars (ECU Flash) and flag the car.
Which sucks, cause even dealers were flashing the car as a service. Oh well. I'm sure the flash
guys will figure a way to get around it.

yes and no. It's called the TD1 campaign (name of the flag). Depends on the car, tune, ecu, etc. For example, a lot of the GTI guys get flagged. My A3 has been clean every visit. The TTRS apparently is detectable but the Golf R is not.

APR had a long post about it on vwvortex explaining that unless otherwise noticed, almost all of their flashes are currently undetectable. However YMMV especially depending on the version.

What bothers me more is that they can't come out with a freaking 100% workable stage 2 tune + down pipe. Have to fuck with different spacers, different tunes, etc. Seriously it cannot be that hard to write an ECU map and manufacture a proper downpipe that will not set off the O2 readiness sensors.

There's a dealership in Linden NJ that is flash/mod friendly. They are basically a full Motorsports indie shop.

For $10,000 more. And I'm willing to bet every single AMG45 is going to marked up about 7-8 thousand over MSRP, too.

The CLA is more comparable to the S4 than the S3. Also, with mods the S4 will shit all over the CLA for less $$$ and it actually uses a real AWD system. Merc's AWD is shit.

Hell, I could find a used RS5 for a little more than what I'd pay for a decently optioned CLA45, and I'd easily get 500+ HP with a tune.

S4 is def more comparable... and I'm pretty sure the US isn't getting the CLA45 hatchback anyway.

The S3 looks like a slightly smaller S4. Wish the U.S. Would get the S1.
