Carbon ceramic brakes?

Fuck me. That has to be the only car under $100k with those.

Interior still looks like the inside of a gay alien's spaceship.

i know the SS now has 4something.....

and if they supercharge it it just becomes a ZL1

"According to the show's website, the 2014 Camaro's powertrain options will carry over from 2013, with a 323-horsepower V6 and a 426-hp V8, along with the 580-horse supercharged ZL1."

Yep. LS, Z28, SS

Im kind of confused here.

The SS is the street cruiser and the z28 is built like a track monster?

wtf

In the early days the Z/28 was the beast and the SS was more of a street car

Exactly, things got messed up in the 3rd and 4th generations. They got rid of the "/" and it was just Z28.

Pricing on the Z/28 hasn't been released but it will be in the 60-70k range. And unfortunately the matte white color shown won't be available.

The ZL1 for 2014 will actually still look like the current car; they spent so much time and money on aero upgrades to the body that they don't want to change them.

You really have to like Camaros to drop 65k on one.

awww okay that makes a little more sense they are going to the roots...i guess i never really knew that about the older ones.

and honestly it really depends. off the bat i would agree with you. but then at the same time...you kids that are 7-10 and you want a fast reliable car to have fun in, that you can still load up the wife and kids for a small road trip, or weekend drive, or to take the kids to school in......thats not a bad way to spend 50-60k on for the power you get. what other car has 4 seats and 500+ HP for the price (besides the GT500, which is the same argument point)

I get that, but there is no way I would be spending that much on a camaro. It's almost a moot point, about the kids, because it's the lower income person who's going to need to compromise and get one car that addresses everything, (sports car and room for kids) If you're able to drop 65k on a camaro, then you can probably afford to simply have a separate car for yourself.

My guess that a lot of the z28 sales are going to be from performance shops and pro/semi-pro racers. Kind of like the Cobra Jet.

I think that will make up a fair portion. A lot of older guys with money to burn, too. No one's hauling kids around in GT500s, and no one will in this, either.
