Its hard to put into words how much I love this show.

The fact that it is still strong after said epic character deaths, everyone to do with this show is on their game.

I feel completely the opposite. While I like Game of Thrones and think it's a great show, I think Spartacus is much better.

just finisned up the first season, a little pissed they killed Eddard Stark(ned) off. I really like his character and his acting was good.

Furter research...

Apparently plot twists and main characters being killed is a common thing in the books.

Interesting.

Spartacus is dope if you like that 300-esque gladiator type action (and who doesn't?) but as far as storytelling and characters go GoT is definitely on top. I think it's safe to say that both shows are pretty awesome and each have their strong points but I was pretty blown away with the first season of Game of Thrones. One thing Spartacus had over GoT was the amount of gore, almost every episode was a bloodbath lol. But like I said the show follows more closely along the lines of 300/Immortals in terms of action where Game of Thrones, while having it's share of violence, is more about the story and its characters.
