I'll get this section started. I bulked from 170ish to 205lbs over the winter. I'm cutting early since I have a vacation coming up at the end of March. Going to Vegas again.

Currently trying to cut down to at least 12% body fat.

What's everyone else working on now?

Hit about 200 again this winter. Starting the "cut". Protein shake in the morning, lean meats and veggies for lunch, and zero carbs for dinner.

It's not ideal right now. School is raping me and work is tag teaming me with school at the same time.

Gym time is f'd. I workout at home for now. When I graduate in June, I will have so much free time I'm going to explode.

Had ACL surgery and was laid up the entire month of December, eating like a slob and being depressed. I started a whole foods heavy diet (non-vegan, still eating plenty of white meat)with a focus on overall health in January and a 16 week intensive lifting regimen this week. My goal is by June to be as toned as I possibly can be. I've already hit strength peaks that I'm never going to see again due to my various unfortunate injuries over the years so before I get any older I wanna see how lean and shredded I can get for once.

I'm working on an Exercise Checklist in excel that I think might be pretty useful for anyone with similar goals. I'll post it up when I'm done.

If you do, make a new thread on it with a good title. Something like "Men's Exercise Check List" so it has a better chance of showing up in a Google search, which will bring traffic to the site.

Easiest thing to do is eat 500 calories under maintenance, lift heavy 4-5 times per week and take your multi.

Sign up for a food tracker site like www.myfitnesspal.com and track your meals daily. Make sure you take in 0.8-1g of protein per gram of bodyweight to minimize the loss of lean mass.

When you guys say "cut" what exactly does that refer to? Just cutting calories, cutting sitting around? explain

Double R

Bascially a "cut" is a method of greatly reducing caloric intake for a period of time to promote heavy fat/water loss.

Say during the winter you want to put on a bunch of muscle. You're going to increase your caloric intake while exercising to build mass. Say eating 4000 calories a day.

Well, the side effect is that you're always going to put on fat during your "bulking stage."

When you "cut" you will go from say, 4000 calories a day, to 2000-1,500 while still working out as much as possible. This will shed the fat you built up over the winter while trying to gain muscle mass.

Just to add, you have to maintain a full time weight lifting routine for this to be effective though. Otherwise you'll start to lose a lot of lean mass since your body tends to use that as a food source first.

275 bench is my most immediate goal. I've been shedding fat over the past 18 months or so and want to keep that up, too.

Yep. I had it a couple of years ago, lost it, now want it back.

I could probably do 245x1 right now.

Have never had any desire to get big. I was 203 on new year's, and the plan is to get down to 185. I'm sitting at 195 right now. I've just been running, eating right, and hitting my heavy bag for about 20 minutes.

I started a diet on January 23. started at 205, im down to 186 currently. been running on the treadmill for 2-2.5 miles daily. doing a high protein diet. very low carbs and sugars. looking to drop down to 180 by the 23rd of Feb.

I should probably mention that I do all my bench pressing with my legs off the ground now. "Getting back" to 275 means I'll actually be quite a bit stronger than when I was benching that with my feet planted on the ground.

I've plateaued at 165lbs for the last 6 months. I'd like to hit and maintain a lean 175 at some point this year.

I've been doing a rotation of insanity, and have been following the diet pretty closely without spending the hundreds of dollars of month required. Started at 180, I'm on week 6 and have dropped to about 168-170. It seems like I'm getting some good strength gains and losing some fat.

Going to try and stick it out, maybe do another cycle for the summer.

I'de like to get down to 230 this year (currently 250-255) while squatting 5 plates. Currently I can squat 3 for 10, but my knees have been bad so been working those.

I want:
4 plates weekly bench even if it's for 1
6 plate dead
5 plate squat

This are 2012 Goals.

Currently I can bench 375 weekly, ive hit 405 again, but its very sporadic when I can and cant bench it.
Dead lift 5 plates clean off the ground, right now my form gets horrid from floor to knee level.

So thats where I am and where I wanna be.

Right now this is what i can do consistently on a weekly basis, all of them being my 4th set:

Deep Squat: 315 x 5
Bench: 315 x 4
Deadlift: 495 x 2

I'd like to add 50# to each of those by the end of April even if its only for 1 rep. Very ambitious goals i know, but it keeps me motivated. I just need to keep my diet consistent which has been the hardest part this year and also stop letting my ego get the best of me, trying 1-2 rep maxes every week.

Continue a good diet throughout the year

Increase squat to 405 before the year ends currently at 315x4

Get down to 210 currently at 220.

Get my deadlifting weight back up.

I weigh about 225lbs now. I benched 315 x1. I'm losing fat slowly. I'm just trying to get huge, so I'm lifting big and running some HIT immediately after for no more than 20 minutes. Trying to stay anabolic.

Once I feel that I've made some good progress I'll post up my stats n maybe a before n after. I work with a weight trainer 1 time a week to help me out with form and new work outs. He has all my measurements so hopefully I see some nice improvements by summer.

I made some really good gains but it was time for me to start cutting down so the decrease in calories plus all the cardio has started affecting me . I wish I had another month to really keep the progress going but whatever. Every workout is hit or miss depending on my diet and has me worried about getting hurt so I have to back off the weight most of the time.

Before the cut i was able to get:

Flat Bench - 365x4
Deep Squat - 365x4 (a lot of it was do to changing up my stance and getting much more power at the bottom of the movement. think if i had another 2 weeks to rest and load up on food i'd be able to get 405 for a couple)
Deadlift - 495x6 (same as above, 2 more weeks and i'm positive i'd be able to get 545 for a couple. I think i could have gotten it the day of this lift if i didn't push it so hard on that set and saved some energy for another one)

Since my ACL reconstruction in December I've made some great upper body gains since I haven't been able to go hard as fuck on my legs anymore. My goal was to bench-press 300 X 6 by the summer. Today I got 295X6 with relative ease and I'll be going for the 300X6 next Monday. I can't even find out what my 1 rep max is until I buy more weights since I workout at home and have maxed out the 315 lbs of plate weight that I have a long time ago.

back in Feb I was in a ceremony and I realized that I needed to do something about my body. I decided to pull out my p90x and then later worked on the p90x/insanity hybrid program. I was 2 months into it and I wanted to get more serious. I started cutting cal's, more cardio, better weight program. since I'm running around everywhere I'm using my bowflex a bit more. ordered more power rods for it for more resistance. I maxed out the 210 on it and I'm forced doing more reps for the burn instead of less reps.

I'm 6'1 and started out at 232 lbs. now 2 months later I'm 235lbs with alot of inches off my waste, larger shoulders, small man boobs, and more shit. I started going to bb.com and I'm planning on starting a progress thread over there. so far everything is working. I guess I'm working on a slight cut right now; just trying to figure out what foods work best for me right now.

oh shit.. goals. from measurements, I'm around 19% bodyfat. I want to get down to below 15% or where I can at least make out my abs. just trying to feel better about my self and enjoy it.

well.. turns out I wasn't at 19% bodyfat.. more like 32.. I'm down to 27% right now, 226 lbs.. slowly getting there.

I've been doing the P90X/Insanity hybrid program.

I have to take at least a week off from working out (minus cardio). I was in a motorcycle accident last Friday, so gains will be on hold. I'll post info in lounge later.
