View Full Version : Help me pick out a powerlifting belt

I need to get a new belt for my heavy lifts. I'm looking for a 4" powerlifting belt, preferably one with a lever buckle or at least a double prong. Anyone have any input as to which brands are better?

Is that last belt made by Inzer, or just sold through their site? All the Inzer stuff I ever used worked well.

Its made by Inzer i believe.

Sizing is a problem with the inzer belt from what i see. I measured my waist and with a shirt I'm a 34 which happens to be right in the middle of the medium size for the Toro and Schiek, whereas on the Inzer its at the very bottom end of the large size and if i tighten it it might still be too big. I could go for the medium but but that might also be a problem and then if i happen to bulk then it definitely won't fit.

I like the last one. My double prong belt looks like that. Is that buckle a new design?

Its been around for a while from what i remember. I like it b/c its easy to tighten and very quick to release so i don't pass out as i'm trying to open it when i get light headed. But to adjust it you have to remove two screws, so you can't just readily adjust it in the gym unless you carry a screwdriver with you, but i don't expect it to be much of a problem.

Also, from reading and talking to people, almost everyone advised against the double prong b/c its such a pain in the ass to get both in the same notch when you tighten it.

It just takes some getting used to; you get one in, then you can easily get the 2nd one.
