What a scary looking firearm! Why do you NEED that military sling? Why do you NEED that EOtech sight? Why do you NEED that adjustable stock?... ahahaha. I can only imagine what my parents would say if I had mine decked out like this. Its so evil looking and by evil I mean awesome.

How is the Magpul AFG? I have a magpul vertical grip on mine and I find it to be too short for my giant mitts.

Show a pic of looking through the Ecotech if you can. I've been looking at the same one for mine.

Rifle is changing a little bit as soon as I get home. I have a brand new Rainier Arms Ultra Match 14.5" barrel with Rainier Match low profile gas block, both in stainless, waiting for me. Going to send to ADCO and have the Smith Vortex pinned for overall 16" length. I also have a brand new Surefire 951 weapon light, JP Enterprises enhanced carbine buffer spring, and Norgon Ambi magazine catch waiting for it.

Just realized I never posted finished pics.

It's now rocking a Young MFG National Match BCG, Rainier Arms Ultra Match 14.5" barrel with pinned Smith Vortex flash hider (work done by ADCO) for an overall 16" length, Rainier Match Gas Block, and a few other goodies.

Building an AR is cake if you spend a little time reading on the forums to acquaint yourself with the parts. There are a lot of good manufacturers out there making some kickass parts.

I would recommend that if you're just wanting a cheap AR that you pick up one of the PSA's for $699 or $799... whatever they're running now for the full rifle.

You'll spend more building one out, but you'll have a better quality rifle personalized for you.

I changed through a ton of parts with this rifle, and ended up with a complete tack driver. It's so much fun to shoot, and super accurate.

There's a lot of satisfaction that comes from taking a bunch of individual parts and making them into something like this.
